Lately, everyday feels like a curveball to me. Don’t get me wrong – I am not complaining about my life. What I am saying is that when you’re person who strives to be the best they can be; a person who gives their all, takes care of themselves, supports family and friends unconditionally, goes out of their way to make someone else’s life a little easier, and works with gumption, you hope that life gives back just a hint of that effort. You hope the universe is somehow looking out for you—the person who works so hard. But it doesn’t always work (maybe feel) that way.
Curveballs present themselves all the time. Strikeouts do too. But you know what else happens—magical moments in time. They appear when the weight of the world feels like it’s on your shoulders and then BOOM! It happens. You finally understand why these curveballs keep coming. You see your true potential because you didn’t give up and have overcome something important to YOU. It doesn’t matter if it’s losing a pound or getting your first round of seed funding. It’s important to you and you know what it took to get there. You relish in that magic and feel the weight on your shoulders disappear.
So bring on the curveball. And keep on swinging. You never know – you might just hit it out of the park at exactly the right time.
